Psalms, Hymns, & Otter Songs: From God’s River Otter

“…now a promise made is a debt unpaid, and the trail has its own stern code… in my heart how I cursed that load…”

– Robert Service

The Cremation of Sam McGee

Promise God you will write one song a month for His glory, then in a moment of little faith, ask God to release you of this load.

• You will hear the wind in the pines as you climb in the mountains of Colorado.
• You will feel the peace and quiet as you paddle the rivers of Indiana.
• You will walk the boulders on the shore of Georgian Bay.
• You will hold your broken heart in your hands as your child goes off to college.
• You will sing praises to Jesus, the King of Kings.
• Come take a forty-year journey of song lyrics that God gave to His River Otter.

Since 1977, John M. Reichert has backpacked, covering over fifteen hundred miles on foot, and paddled over two thousand miles by canoe in many US National Parks and in Canada. A self-taught guitarist, singer and songwriter, John brings to life the lyrics to songs inspired by these journeys that God has entrusted to him.
