Growth of the Seed: Notes on the Book of Genesis

The book of Genesis begins the narrative of the enmity between the seed of the woman and the serpent and continues documenting the development of Gods covenant relationship with man through the growth of the seed.

The end of Genesis provides the exegetical key to understanding everything before it. Reuben, Simeon, and Levi were impenitent and passed over for the Messianic blessing. This explains why their sins were recorded and helps clarify the rest the Genesis accounts: Genesis details why the Messianic line continued through certain people and why others were rejected from it.
