A Review of Transmillennialism: The AD 70 Doctrine

What happens when a church of Christ quietly becomes something else? When the fundamentals of salvation are set aside?

These questions sent the author searching for answers and what he found traces back to a controversial teaching called Realized Eschatology, known to its critics as the AD 70 Doctrine and marketed today under the trademarked name Transmillennialism.

At the center of it all is Max Kings The Spirit of Prophecy a book that argues nearly everything youve been taught to await is already behind you the return of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the day of judgment. King claims all of it was fulfilled in AD 70, when Rome besieged and destroyed Jerusalem. What began as a fringe teaching inside the churches of Christ has since grown into a self-described trans-denominational movement, open, by its own account, to all faiths and believers.

A Review of Transmillennialism takes this teaching seriously enough to read in fullthe original 1971 text alongside the revealing postscript by Kings son, Timothy, which shows exactly where three decades of this doctrine led: open fellowship replacing faith, repentance, and baptism.

If the bugle gives an indistinct sound,
who will get ready for battle? (1 Corinthians 14:8)

This book will help you understand what is happening and why the church needs a clear, certain sound about departing from the fundamentals.
