About The Book

This book not only deals with the locations but also the legends of these temples and the deities within. It is an innovative edition the first of its kind dealing with this particular topic in which the Yogini the sensual woman, the spiritual one, or the deity herself- is the focus of the worship. It contains in depth descriptions of these often isolated magical locations. The silence and serenity of many of them are in themselves an adventure into the mystery that surrounds them.
